Tasting Note
The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino is powerful and slightly austere yet
there is enough density in the fruit to make me think it will develop nicely
over the coming years. Firm tannins frame expressive red cherries,
licorice, spices, minerals and new leather, all of which carry through to
the substantial, intense finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022.
